Henwood Playgroup was originally founded in 1968, and is a registered educational charity and a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
We are Ofsted registered and comply with all current legislation.
Our aim is to educate through play and create a happy environment to give children a fantastic start in their early years education.
We strive at Henwood to keep our staff trained to as high standard as possible, so that we can offer good quality care for your child. All our staff have relevant childcare experience and are trained First Aiders.
We have a high ratio of staff to children (often exceeding the ratio set out by Ofsted 1:4 for 2 year olds, and 1:8 for 3 year olds). All our staff are CRB checked.
To attend our Playgroup, children must be 2 years of age. Additionally, We are also able to cater for children with special needs.
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9:15am until 11:45am.
Sessional fees are charged at the beginning of each term and payable in advance.
There are opportunties for Parents and Carers to support staff by becoming involved in the Playgroup Rota, providing a unique insight into the activities of the Playgroup.
